Job summary

UNDP Indonesia is seeking a Team Leader for Nature and Low Carbon Development to guide policy development, capacity building, and portfolio expansion. You will lead a team of around 40 professionals, mobilize diverse financing, and strengthen partnerships with government and international partners.

The role requires strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate global agendas into Indonesian policy and programme solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years (with a master’s) or 7 years (with a bachelor’s) of relevant experience in nature and low carbon development policy.
• Track record in managing complex programmes or portfolios in multilateral or bilateral development contexts.
• Experience in programme cycle design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, QA and oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for Nature, Environment, Climate and Low Carbon Development portfolio.
• Lead partnerships and financing opportunities; engage government, partners, and funders.
• Oversee team of around 40 personnel ensuring performance and development.
• Ensure coherence and cross-team collaboration across NLCD and other UNDP units.
• Influence policy and manage knowledge to scale impact and sustainability.
