Job summary

GoldenAgri seeks a qualified Maintenance Engineer to join our palm oil mill operations. You will assist in preventive maintenance planning, monitor processing activities, and optimize machine performance to meet productivity and quality targets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering and 1–3 years in palm oil/mill operations. Willingness to be placed at mill sites and to work under pressure is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in palm oil mill operations or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of machinery maintenance and mill processing operations.
• Familiarity with boiler operations and production processes is advantageous.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Able to read and interpret technical data and laboratory results.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Willing to be placed in mill/site locations.
• Able to work under pressure and handle operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules based on machine specifications.
• Prepare work programs aligned with maintenance plans, including estimating material usage.
• Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure proper maintenance and repair execution.
• Analyze laboratory processing results to evaluate machine performance and perform adjustments.
• Prepare monthly operational reports based on daily and weekly activities.
• Maintain inventory records of machinery, equipment, and spare parts.
• Monitor loading of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) and ensure capacity compliance.
• Supervise boiler operations and monitor energy utilization for processing activities.
• Check CPO and kernel losses against laboratory results.
• Report processing issues and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Make prompt decisions and coordinate across teams to resolve issues.
• Support operational efficiency and profitability of the mill.
• Assist in planning, developing, and optimizing workforce capability in the Manufacturing Division

• Make prompt and accurate decisions in handling operational issues and ensure effective coordination across teams
• Support operational efficiency and contribute to the overall profitability of the mill
• Assist in planning, developing, and optimizing workforce capability, including anticipating manpower needs within the Manufacturing Division

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in palm oil mill operations or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of machinery maintenance and mill processing operations
• Familiarity with boiler operations and production processes is an advantage
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
