ByFood has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the 3rd UNWTO Gastronomy Tourism Startup Competition, for our unique approach to accessible and sustainable tourism.

Through byFood, users can book food experiences around the world, including cooking classes and food tours, and make restaurant reservations in Japan without needing to read or speak Japanese. Our mission is to connect with travelers at every stage of their journey, from planning to experiencing and, finally, remembering.

But we don't stop there. For every food experience or paid restaurant reservation booked on the platform, byFood donates school meals to children in need via our Food for Happiness program. To date, we've contributed over 889,000 meals.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack features for our website with a focus on Go for the backend and TypeScript, React, and NextJS for the frontend. Embrace type safety to ensure robust backend services and engaging front‑end user interfaces.
• Engage in all stages of project development, from ideation to deployment, ensuring a seamless, end‑to‑end user experience.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment to make decisions that impact the overall project direction and integrity.
• Prioritize testing to ensure application stability and document your code thoroughly for understandability and ease of future modifications.
• Keep up with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously seeking to improve our platform and processes.
