Metrology Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Implement the company's metrological management system and standard operating procedures in compliance with national metrological laws, regulations, and verification requirements.
  • Maintain laboratory environments and standard instruments according to laboratory management protocols, ensuring proper usage and preservation.
  • Compile and submit annual external calibration requirements, coordinate technical communications with calibration suppliers, and manage the logistics of measuring instruments (including receipt, dispatch, and timely calibration of newly purchased or periodic‑calibration instruments).
  • Conduct metrological knowledge and operational training for plant part‑time metrologists, maintaining training plans, records, and supervising their timely handling of measuring instruments (dispatch, receipt, and inventory management).
  • Provide measurement/calibration documentation and relevant records to support internal/external customer audits.
  • Execute scheduled supervision inspections, document findings, and track improvement implementation.
  • Assist in overall measurement room administration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.
  • 1‑3 years of experience in a metrology, calibration, or quality control role.
  • Advanced proficiency in English is required; Chinese is not required.
  • Strong knowledge of national metrological laws, regulations, and verification standards.
  • Experience in managing the full calibration process, including coordinating with external suppliers and handling the logistics of measuring instruments.
  • Ability to conduct metrological training and maintain all relevant documentation for internal and external audits.
Quality Control and HSE K3

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring acceptance of project implementation in accordance with planned design and specs (handover to repetition) and network quality by driving continuous improvement and reduction of quality issues to position for life FTTB/FTTP network.

Job Duties:

  • Performs the acceptance process according to the checklist, equipped with the required tools and devices for testing and measuring according to agreed‑upon criteria.
  • Measure the optical signal strength to ensure adequate performance.
  • Performs quality issues to closure with proper urgency in order to minimize impact to service. Lead technical meetings and investigations.
  • Performs Corrective Action Request (CAR) activities and completes follow‑up evaluations to determine the completion and effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Performs Preventive maintenance (PM) activities and completes follow‑up evaluations to determine completion and effectiveness of Preventive actions.
  • Gather and analyze test and measurement data to make recommendations for adjustments to network design, acceptance process, and equipment, and quality procedures.
  • Ensures that technical standards and work instructions to ensure product quality and NPS requirements are implemented and followed.
  • Perform field staking, and make a plan for a visit by considering the network database through required assistance tools, such as mapping software QGIS, designing digital maps with geographic data, Excel file.
  • Proactive review of outside plant facilities to determine necessary upgrades and enhancements.
  • Point of contact for escalations, providing timely/quality communication regarding the Quality snags, internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with leadership to build and develop Quality plans to enable business objectives.
  • Document FTTB/FTTP network layout and design.
  • Prepare Quality reports as per the Quality plan.

Requirements:

  • Has a minimum diploma degree in Computer/Telecommunication/Electrical/Civil Engineering or related.
  • Must have K3 Certificate (active).
  • Must have experience in a related company, and experience is most preferred at least 1 year.
  • Has a good understanding of FTTH/FTTB/FTTP design concepts, theories, and practices, Capacity plan, accepted power loss, FDT & FAT functions, optical Fiber cable installation, path type, Min trench, Micro trench, direct buried, and Aerial.
  • Good communication in English is required.
  • Ready to work in the assigned area: Subang.
