Job summary

Merdeka Copper Gold is seeking a Process Engineer to analyze, monitor, and optimize metallurgical and chemical processes to improve production efficiency, stability, and product quality. The role focuses on evaluating parameters, mass and heat balance, material flow, and energy consumption to meet design targets.

You will provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and production teams, develop SOPs and technical reports, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemical, Process Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a process engineering role within mineral processing, flotation, thickener, and filtering operations.
• Strong understanding of metallurgical and chemical process fundamentals (thermodynamics, kinetics, mass transfer, and heat transfer).
• Experience in process troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Fluency in Mandarin is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, monitor, and optimize metallurgical and chemical processes to improve production efficiency, stability, and product quality.
• Evaluate process parameters, mass and heat balance, material flow, and energy consumption to ensure operations meet design and operational targets.
• Identify process deviations, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies, and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
• Conduct process trials, performance testing, and data analysis to support continuous improvement and debottlenecking initiatives.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to operations, maintenance, and production teams.
• Develop, review, and maintain process documentation, SOPs, operating guidelines, and technical reports.
• Ensure process operations comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards, and support commissioning and improvement projects.
