Job summary

BAGS CITY GROUP is seeking a Merchandising Planner Assistant Manager to optimize SKU performance, replenishment planning, and inventory allocation across our nationwide retail network in Indonesia.

You will lead data-driven decisions, coordinate cross-functional teams, and manage purchase planning to ensure optimal stock availability and achievement of sales targets. On-site at BSD, Tangerang Selatan, you will guide a skilled planning team and collaborate with principals and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in merchandising, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong analytical skills with SKU-level sales analysis.
• Hands-on experience managing purchase orders, forecasts, and stock planning with principals or suppliers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP, inventory systems and BI tools is a plus.
• Willing to work on-site from our BSD head office, Tangerang Selatan.

Responsibilities

• Analyze SKU-level sales performance, stock movement, sell-through rate, and demand trends to identify fast/slow/non-moving products.
• Develop and manage replenishment plans based on sales velocity and stock availability across showrooms, department stores, and e-commerce channels.
• Monitor stock levels, aging inventory, stock turnover, and weeks of supply to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders to principals based on forecasts, inventory requirements, lead times, and MOQ.
• Develop SKU-level demand forecasts and purchasing plans from historical sales, seasonality, and growth targets.
• Recommend stock allocation and inter-location transfers based on regional demand and inventory imbalances.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Merchandising, Logistics, Finance, and principals to align purchasing plans and budgets.
• Develop reports and dashboards on SKU performance, replenishment, inventory health, stock availability, and purchasing performance.
• Lead and develop the Merchandising Planning team, establishing priorities and SOPs.

We are currently looking for a Merchandising Planner Assistant Manager to optimize SKU performance, replenishment planning, inventory allocation, and purchasing plans across our nationwide retail network. Key Responsibilities :

• SKU Performance & Sales Analysis: Analyze SKU-level sales performance, stock movement, sell-through rate, and demand trends across all retail channels and locations to identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving products.
• Replenishment & Stock Allocation: Develop and manage replenishment plans based on sales velocity, stock availability, inventory coverage, and demand patterns to ensure optimal product availability across all showrooms, department stores, and e-commerce channels.
• Inventory Optimization: Monitor stock levels, aging inventory, stock turnover, and weeks of supply to minimize stockouts, overstocking, and excess inventory while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
• Principal Ordering & Purchasing Planning: Prepare and manage purchase orders to principals based on sales forecasts, inventory requirements, stock coverage, lead times, and minimum order quantities (MOQ), ensuring timely product availability.
• Demand Forecasting & Inventory Planning: Develop SKU-level demand forecasts and purchasing plans by analyzing historical sales, seasonality, promotional activities, and business growth targets.
• Stock Distribution & Transfer: Recommend stock allocation and inter-location transfers based on SKU performance, regional demand, and inventory imbalances to maximize sales opportunities.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with Sales & Operations, Merchandising, Logistics, Finance, and principals to align purchasing plans, stock availability, delivery schedules, and inventory budgets.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Develop regular reports and dashboards on SKU performance, replenishment effectiveness, inventory health, stock availability, and purchasing performance to support data-driven decisions.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop the Merchandising Planning team to ensure effective SKU analysis, replenishment planning, inventory allocation, and purchasing execution. Establish clear work priorities, performance targets, and standard operating procedures while monitoring team performance and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Merchandising, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or Assistant Manager position, preferably in multi-location retail.
• Strong analytical skills with proven experience in SKU-level sales analysis, demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and replenishment planning.
• Hands-on experience managing purchase orders, purchasing forecasts, and stock planning with principals, brand owners, or suppliers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis; experience with ERP, inventory management systems, and BI tools is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of inventory KPIs, including stock turnover, sell-through rate, stock availability, weeks of supply, and inventory aging.
• Strong numerical, problem-solving, organizational, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented, data-driven, and able to translate sales and inventory data into actionable purchasing and replenishment decisions.
• Proven leadership experience in managing and developing a team, with the ability to set priorities, delegate tasks, monitor performance, and build a strong analytical and results-oriented team.
