Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team. This role focuses on the design of Mechanical and Plumbing (M&P) systems for mid‑to‑large‑scale developments, including hotels, residential apartments, and commercial buildings. You will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, mechanical, HVAC, ventilation systems, plumbing, and fire protection with other disciplines such as architectural, civil, and electrical engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical & plumbing design for high‑rise or commercial buildings.
- Prior experience at an engineering consultancy firm.
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
- SKA / SIBP / IPTB MADYA certification or higher/equivalent (required).
- Proficient in AutoCAD MEP, CADDUCT, and CADPIPE (required).
- Experience in Revit /BIM (preferred).
- Hands‑on experience in producing detailed Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection shop drawings, calculations, and construction documents.
- Solid understanding of MEP systems and their applications in buildings.
- Ability to interpret diagrams, drafts, flowcharts, and technical documentation.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work collaboratively in a team.
- Quick to adapt and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and draft HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, and fire protection systems using AutoCAD. (Revit is a plus).
- Perform engineering calculations (e.g., HVAC load analysis, pipe sizing, equipment selection and capacity checks).
- Develop detailed layouts for ducting and ventilation, water supply and drainage, and sprinkler and fire protection.
- Produce construction documents and shop drawings in coordination with project specifications.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure integrated MEP design.
- Ensure compliance with local codes and international standards.
