Job summary

ECCO is seeking a Master Data Analyst in Surabaya, Indonesia to help build a global Master Data Management practice across development, production, sales and retail. You will work with multiple data teams to ensure data quality and governance in line with global guidelines.

You will design and implement data integration workflows, transform data for data warehouses, and enable reporting with Power BI and Snowflake. Strong SQL/Python, cloud data services, and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Computer Science or equivalent education.
• Strong experience in data modelling.
• Know-how in SQL and Python.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies, like Snowflake.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Solid knowledge of advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts).
• Understanding of business KPIs, metrics, and dashboard/report creation.
• Proactive member of the master data management team and capable of cross‑location collaboration.
• Stay updated with trends in data architecture and engineering.

Job Profile

You will be part of our global MDM set-up related to the entire value chain from development and production to sales and retail. We work with multiple different data teams to ensure the quality of our master data and that the maintenance of our master data follows global guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing data integration workflows using ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, dbt.
• Transforming data to meet the requirements of the target system or data warehouse.
• Loading transformed data into a data warehouse or other storage systems for reporting and analysis purposes.
• Collaborating with Data Analysts to ensure data integration solutions support the organization's reporting and analysis needs.
• Monitoring and optimizing data integration processes to ensure efficient and accurate data loading. Ensuring effective communication and collaboration across cross‑functional teams involved in data projects.
• Contributing to documentation, standards, and policy development while coordinating testing and validation efforts.

Qualifications

You enjoy diving into master data, and you do so with a structured and detail‑oriented approach. Furthermore, you are a fast learner, team player, and you like collaborating with others. You are innovative and able to suggest new approaches or solutions to improve services. As the team is located at multiple locations, you need to work independently and feel comfortable using Teams and similar online tools. You have a strong drive and ability to deliver within deadlines.

• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies, like Snowflake.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
• Hands‑on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Solid knowledge of advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts).
• Understanding of business KPIs, metrics, and dashboard/report creation.
• Proactive member of the master data management team, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture and engineering and apply this knowledge to improve the organization's data capabilities.
• Expertise in driving compliance, risk mitigation, and high‑quality IT solutions.
• Knowledge of working in agile environments and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate between technical and business teams.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowing SAP or D365 would be helpful.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
