Division: Air Pollution Control, Water Treatment, Power Plant, Mining, Smelter & Large Industrial Sectors

Reports to: Country Manager

Indirect Reporting: Area Manager (multi-division oversight)

Role Overview

The Market Development Manager is responsible for expanding business opportunities across key industrial sectors, including Air Pollution Control, Water Treatment, Power Plants, Mining, Smelters, and other large-scale industries. This role focuses on identifying new markets, building strategic partnerships, and driving sustainable growth aligned with the company’s long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute market development strategies to grow business in assigned divisions.
  • Identify, analyze, and pursue new market segments, major projects, and potential customers in large industrial sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including EPCs, consultants, government bodies, and major industrial clients.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Country Manager to align strategies with national business goals.
  • Coordinate cross-division activities with Area Managers, especially for projects involving multiple business units.
  • Lead opportunity mapping for Air Pollution Control and Water Treatment Chemical Solutions in power plants, mines, smelters, and heavy industries.
  • Support technical and commercial proposal development together with internal engineering and sales teams.
  • Monitor and track project pipelines from lead generation to closing.
  • Prepare regular reports, forecasts, and market insights for senior management.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications
  • Experience in sales or generating sales in similar industries: industrial solutions, engineering, pollution control, water treatment, power generation, mining, smelting, or related sectors.
  • Strong experience in market development, B2B sales, or business expansion roles.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and engage with multiple stakeholders.
