Job summary

A leading shipping company in Indonesia is seeking a Technical Superintendent for operational management. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, 4-5 years of related experience, and a strong command of English. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment readiness and implementing maintenance strategies. This position is based in North Jakarta and requires immediate availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4‑5 years of experience in operational management, team leadership, or similar roles within the shipping industry.
• Mandatory prior experience in a shipping company.
• In‑depth knowledge of marine engineering principles and practices.
• Certification in ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISM Code, and DPA.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment and boat machinery are in operational readiness, minimizing unplanned downtime.
• Extend equipment life cycles by implementing effective maintenance and reliability strategies.
• Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures.
• Continuously analyze team performance, equipment conditions, and spare part availability.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report results regularly.
