Manufacturing Manager – Seafood Processed Manufacturing Company

Location: Semarang & Kendari (High Mobility Required)

Overview

PERSOL APAC – One of Asia Pacific’s Largest Recruitment Companies are seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead operations for a seafood processed manufacturing company This role is critical in driving operational excellence, ensuring food safety compliance for export markets, and managing two manufacturing plants located in Semarang, Central Java, and Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of the annual business plan to ensure positive cash flow and high profitability.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans aligned with board and shareholder goals.
  • Oversee financial performance, investments, and business ventures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, especially for export markets.
  • Manage daily production operations, ensuring quality products at optimal cost.
  • Lead and develop the operations team, including Production, QC, Finance, and other support functions.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, sanitation, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Directly report to the Director and manage cross-functional teams.
Specific Duties
  • Set and monitor performance targets (quantitative and qualitative) for the Operational Management Team.
  • Ensure efficient and budget-compliant performance of the Indonesia Operational Team.
  • Develop and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) monthly to the CEO and Board.
  • Drive annual net profit growth and business expansion.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Management, Food Science, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience as a Senior Manager in the food industry, preferably seafood or frozen food.
  • Proven leadership in managing multi-plant operations.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance metrics.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in high-standard food safety environments, especially for export markets.
  • Familiarity with chiller/frozen product production processes and food safety SOPs.
  • Willingness to travel frequently between Semarang and Kendari.
  • Initial employment will be on a contract basis, offering valuable experience and career growth opportunities.
