Job Overview

As a Manufacturing Cost Analyst (MCA), you will be responsible for providing cost of good sales and guidance to the operations teams to optimize financial performance. You will bring your strong analytical expertise and cross‑functional collaboration skills to a team focused on working to optimize processes, drive efficiencies and support profitable growth. You will have direct interaction with operations teams and accounting staff.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Experience in cost analysis, manufacturing operations, or financial planning in a production environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures (FOH, COGS, BOM, CAPEX, OPEX, etc.)
  • Hands‑on experience with manufacturing floor processes, materials, and machine utilization
  • Proficient in ERP systems, Excel, and data analysis tools
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with accounting, production, and supply chain teams
Responsibilities
  • Cost Data Collection & Analysis: Track raw material, labor, and overhead costs in the manufacturing process; validate actual production data on‑site to ensure accurate COGS; maintain and update cost formulas in ERP systems.
  • Manufacturing Floor Validation: Work directly with production supervisors, maintenance supervisors, and operators to collect real‑time cost data; analyze machine utilization, labor efficiency, and process bottlenecks impacting costs; identify cost overburden areas and work with production teams for process improvements.
  • Cost Optimization & Reporting: Analyze variance between standard vs actual costs and provide improvement recommendations; collaborate with accounting, sales, and operations to adjust product pricing based on real costs; identify opportunities for waste reduction, efficiency improvements, and cost‑saving projects.
  • Process & System Improvement: Support accounting and production teams in implementing Lean Manufacturing & Cost Efficiency programs; work with IT/ERP teams to automate and enhance costing accuracy in systems.
