Job summary

Join Spin Master as a leader for the Quality team in Indonesia. You will oversee daily quality control, ensuring product safety compliance and managing quality assurance initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in Quality Management with strong leadership skills and knowledge of global safety standards in toys. Excellent proficiency in English and a Bachelor’s degree are essential, while a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ experience with 5 years at managerial level in Quality Management.
• Background in Quality Management and/or manufacturing engineering.
• Familiarity with worldwide safety standards for toys.

Job description

Lead the Quality team to carry out daily quality control functions including development QA, quality control, quality engineering and quality assurance.

Specific Responsibilities

Product Quality

• Responsible for product safety compliance during new product development
• Coordinate with Global QA team to get early design involvement for safety review
• Work with outside lab on lab test protocol update
• Plan and implement the product development & manufacturing relocation qualification
• Work with outside lab to conduct safety assessment on high-risk projects
• Provide quality support for new product approval cycle
• Issue product conformity test plan and shipment inspection specification, coordinate the product testing and approval of the result
• Conduct manufacturing process auditing, setup process control and safety plan for new factory assessment
• Arrange samples to perform reliability and safety testing
• Work closely with internal and external parties to make sure quality issues are well resolved prior to mass production
• Accompany customer quality auditing, update procedures/ instructions, propose testing plan and inspection procedure
• Lead the team to carry out daily quality control function and define specifications to fulfill customers’ expectation
• Conduct failure analysis, handle customer complaint and develop corrective action plan and set for preventive measurement
• Liaise with internal Engineering department/ Customer Care Team at Head Quarter to fix the quality issues
• Conduct manufacturing process auditing, setup process control and safety plan
• Arrange samples to perform reliability and safety testing
• Work closely with internal and external parties to make sure quality issues are well resolved
• Accompany customer quality auditing, update procedures/ instructions, propose testing plan and inspection procedure.

Reporting Line

• This position reports to Senior Director, Indonesia & India Operations

Required Skillset

• Good computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases; proficient in Excel is an advantage
• Having the experience of SAP operation is preferred
• Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
• Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
• Critical eye for details and processes as well as highly developed organizational and leadership skill and staff development
• Good Team player with a hands‑on approach and positive working attitude
• Action oriented, proactive, able to work independently with minimum supervision
• High level of ethics and trustworthy
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree minimum, Master’s degree is an advantage;
• Quality Management and / or manufacturing engineering background preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with at least 5 years' at managerial level in Quality Management in a toys or consumer product company;
• Good knowledge in Worldwide Safety Standard (especially in Children consumer products / toys);
• Experience with international toys safety standard and requirements is highly desired;
• Familiar with toy related production process, and U.S. ASTM F963-03 and European EN71 PART1 testing standards;
• Strong leadership, with experience in organization and staff development
