Job summary

LONGMOTIVE (M) SDN.BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of construction projects in the Johor Bahru region.

You will oversee costs, contracts and provide expert guidance to ensure successful delivery. Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in Construction, specialised in MEP.
• Strong knowledge of contracts, cost management and project control procedures.
• Proficient with estimating and project management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with local regulations in Selangor or Johor Bahru region.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for construction projects
• Negotiating and administering contracts with suppliers, subcontractors and other stakeholders
• Monitoring project budgets and costs, identifying potential savings and efficiencies
• Providing expert advice and guidance to project teams on contractual and commercial matters
• Preparing and processing payment certificates, variations, and final accounts
• Assisting with the resolution of contractual disputes and claims
• Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects
