Job summary

Job description
Core Purpose of the Role:

To lead and manage the entire process of procurement, logistics, and warehousing to guarantee the effective, efficient, and timely availability of goods, services, and spare parts required by the fleet, while maintaining strict control over costs and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Management: Oversee the end‑to‑end procurement cycle, including needs planning (in coordination with Engineering/Marine Teams), selection, evaluation, and contract negotiation with both domestic and international suppliers.
  • Cost and Quality Control: Full accountability for managing the procurement budget and ensuring that all acquired goods and services adhere to high‑quality standards.
  • Vessel/Ship Supply Logistics: Manage the logistics distribution flow to ensure spare parts and other supplies reach the vessels on schedule, coordinating with freight forwarders and ensuring customs compliance (import).
  • Warehouse Management: Supervise and ensure efficient and accurate management of land‑based warehousing and inventory.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop the Logistics and Procurement team to effectively handle complex and demanding workloads.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Logistics, Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in a managerial position (Manager/Assistant Manager level) within the Maritime/Shipping Industry.

Technical & Soft Skills:

  • System Proficiency: Proficient in using an ERP system (preferably DANAOS) or specialized Supply Chain Management software.
  • Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets to drive efficiency and optimize processes.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience in negotiation with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Workload Management: Proven ability to handle and thrive under complex and heavy workloads.
