A logistics management company in Jakarta Utara is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end international shipments. This role involves managing shipment operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading the logistics team. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 5–7 years of experience in international logistics, and strong negotiation skills. Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Logistics Manager (export-import) to oversee and manage end-to-end international shipments from Australia to global destinations including Vietnam, Spain, Singapore, Indonesia, and others. This role requires a strong understanding of international shipping operations, Incoterms, and export-import documentation, with a focus on cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination.
1. International Shipment Management
Manage and monitor international shipments (sea and air) from Australia to multiple countries.
Ensure timely, efficient, and cost‑effective delivery schedules.
Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, port authorities, and local agents.
2. Commercial Terms & Documentation
Manage shipping contracts in accordance with Incoterms (e.g., CIF, FOB).
Oversee preparation and accuracy of export‑import documentation: Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin (COO), and customs clearance documents.
Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations and destination country requirements.
3. Operational & Cost Efficiency
Plan optimal shipping routes and select the most efficient shipping lines.
Optimize container utilization and minimize demurrage/detention costs.
Perform cost vs. service analysis to support freight rate negotiations.
Liaise with buyers, suppliers, and internal sales/operations teams regarding shipment progress.
Provide regular status updates and reports to management and clients.
Resolve issues related to shipment delays, damages, or claims.
5. Team Management & Reporting
Lead and supervise the logistics team (documentation, operations, and administration).
Set performance KPIs and conduct regular evaluations.
Prepare and analyze logistics reports, including on‑time shipment rates, shipping costs, and carrier performance metrics.
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (in Management, Logistics, Transportation, or equivalent).
5–7 years of experience in shipping and freight forwarding within an international logistics company.
Proficient in Incoterms (CIF, FOB, EXW, etc.) and export‑import documentation.
Knowledge of international regulations and customs procedures in destination countries (Asia & Europe).
Fluent in English (mandatory); proficiency in other languages (Mandarin/Spanish) is an advantage.
Strong negotiation skills with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and international agents.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
