The Specialist, Lifecycle - Contracts Management will ensure that all contract related activities for Remote’s external employees and clients are performed with a focus on legal compliance and superior employee experience without compromising on speed.
You will be reporting to Employee Lifecycle Manager.
What you bring
- Experience as an HR Advisor, HR Operations, or HR Business Partner, with generalist HR competencies and exposure across the employee lifecycle.
- Proven experience with managing employee lifecycle events with care, sensitivity and legal compliance; providing HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.
- Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, undertake research, provide practical solutions and communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in unfamiliar environments.
- Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills; able to lead difficult conversations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
- Aptitude for innovating and optimizing processes, identifying and implementing automation opportunities and promoting best practices.
- Efficiency in operations with thorough record-keeping and data integrity awareness.
- Tech-savvy with ability to collaborate asynchronously on various tools and adapt to new systems.
- Ability to work independently and cohesively in an international, fast-paced, asynchronous, remote team with multiple priorities; willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a sense of ownership and accountability.
- Interest in documentation and asynchronous working.
- Familiarity with communication, documentation, and project management tools such as Notion, Slack, Zendesk and G-suite.
- Experience working in a remote setting; hyper-growth startup experience is plus. Remote work experience is not required but considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and resolve end-to-end employee lifecycle events across 80+ international jurisdictions, focusing on an exceptional employment experience for Remote’s clients and employees.
- Manage all modifications to Employment Agreements for both internal and external employees, including amendments, Employment documents, Letters and Forms as necessary in Remote’s global HR team.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance in employee lifecycle activities, including payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, and trade unions.
- Assist Senior Specialists to manage critical initiatives affecting numerous employees across multiple countries; support HR and financial audits for compliance with local regulations.
- Develop and update global internal documentation for Contracts Management based on legislative changes; address internal and external inquiries in collaboration with Lifecycle’s stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and manage client requests on HR matters as a trusted consultant to clients and employees.
- Draft, tailor and administer employee lifecycle documents with accuracy, maintaining records with privacy and confidentiality.
- Process employee lifecycle events on Remote’s internal HRIS, coordinating with teams such as Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, Offboarding, Time and Attendance to ensure terms are administered correctly and promptly.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, product development, and overall customer and employee experience.
- Safely manage and maintain employee data and confidential information following established protocols with professionalism and discretion.

The annual salary range for this full-time position is USD 26,350 - 59,300.
