Legal Supervisor (Maritime Shipping Operations)

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Legal Supervisor (Maritime & Mining Operations). In this full-time role based in Noble House, South Jakarta, you will be responsible for providing strategic, high-quality, and cost-effective legal services to support the company's maritime operations.

What you’ll be doing

Providing legal advice and support across a range of maritime related matters, including contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and risk management

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements and legal instruments required for the company's operations

Assisting with investments, tenders, and other strategic initiatives in the maritime and mining sectors

Ensuring the company operates in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and internal policies

Leading, mentoring, and supporting the legal counsel team as needed

What we’re looking for

Law degree from a respectable university

5+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained within a large law firm or in-house legal team

Solid knowledge of freight charter (vessels and tugboats), mining contracts, trade compliance, and vessel operations

Experience dealing with mining permits, shipping regulators and related Government agencies

Proven ability to provide pragmatic, commercially-focused legal advice to operational staff and senior stakeholders

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team

Fluent in English, Mandarin is a plus
