Responsible for providing legal advice and representation to individuals, businesses, or organizations. Interpreting laws and regulations, drafting legal documents, and to advocate for clients in court or other legal proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of legal matters
- Represent clients in court, arbitration, or other legal proceedings
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Analyze legal risks and provide risk mitigation strategies
- Liaise with clients, courts, government agencies, and other stakeholders
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents
- Prepare legal opinions, case summaries, and reports for internal or external use
- Ensure all legal documentation is properly filed, recorded, and archived
- Uphold the ethical standards of the legal profession
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Advocate License (Peradi or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a reputable university with a minimum GPA of 3.40. Overseas graduates are encouraged to apply
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Junior Lawyer
- Excellent command of English, both spoken and written, supported by a minimum TOEFL score of 500 (or equivalent IELTS/TOEIC certification)
- Ability to work on challenging legal assignments within a team environment
- Passion for legal studies, legal reasoning, and strong interpersonal (people) skills
- Experience in handling Judicial Review cases
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking, particularly in litigation matters
- Willing to work overtime or outside regular working days to fulfill the responsibilities or as required
