Job description

Job Purpose: Oversees all daily operations of the research and development laboratory, ensuring a safe, efficient, and innovative environment for scientific experimentation and product development.

Oversee R&D projects from initiation to completion, including setting goals, planning timelines, managing budgets, and ensuring deliverables align with corporate objectives.

Ensure the lab runs efficiently and safely by managing daily operations, coordinating equipment maintenance, and overseeing inventory.

Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards, prepare for audits, and ensure high-quality results and data integrity.

Drive efficiency by optimizing workflows, implementing new technologies, and using data to identify areas for improvement.

Develop and implement lab procedures, SOPs, and quality control protocols.

Motivate and develop a team of scientists and technicians, foster a positive work environment, and ensure staff are properly trained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering.
• Min. 3 Years working experience as R&D Manager / Lab Manager preferable from personal care/cosmetic industries.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment, methodologies, and safety standards.
• Ability to lead and motivate technical teams.
• Proficiency in project management, budget management, risk assessment, and problem-solving.
