Job summary

Cowater International is seeking a Knowledge Exchange Specialist to facilitate sharing and dissemination of knowledge through the Connect Series and other exchange opportunities. You will identify opportunities, develop events, draft ToRs, build partnerships with researchers, government, private sector and civil society, and coordinate delivery with a dedicated events team.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, international relations, development, or a related field.
• Minimum five years (for Master’s) or ten years (for Bachelor’s) of relevant experience.
• Experience in planning and organising events with knowledge-exchange or stakeholder engagement.
• Strong organisational, project-management, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including drafting Terms of Reference (ToR).
• Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders including government, private sector, and civil society.
• Familiarity with research, policy, and innovation themes.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Identify knowledge-exchange opportunities aligned with priorities of government, private sector, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Develop and run the Connect Series and other events ensuring alignment with objectives.
• Draft, finalise Terms of Reference for each event, identifying themes and contributors.
• Build and maintain relationships with researchers, government reps, private sector, NGOs.
• Coordinate with the Event Specialist to oversee all aspects of event delivery.
• Document outcomes, participant feedback and actionable recommendations.
• Utilise the Knowledge Management System to support exchange efforts.
