Job summary

A leading technology company based in Jakarta is seeking a Sales Engineer to manage key account relationships and support sales strategies. This role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and over 3 years of experience in the capital equipment industry. The ideal candidate possesses strong negotiation and presentation skills, a self-motivated attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients. The position involves 100% domestic travel within Indonesia.

Qualifications

  • 3 years and above work experience as sales engineer/representative/manager in capital equipment industry.
  • Ability to speak English is preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key accounts in Indonesia.
  • Manage and coordinate key account customer requirements accurately.
  • Draft strategies with distributors for key account sales and service.
  • Prepare and conduct product presentations and demonstrations.
  • Research market demand and competition information.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and strengthen relationship with key account and existing customers in Indonesia.
  • Managing, interpreting and coordinating key account customer requirement accurately.
  • Be responsible for final result of sales, including distributor’s sales revenue, customer satisfaction etc.
  • Draft the strategies with distributor for key account sales and service.
  • Develop and strength the relationship with key account customers.
  • Organize the sale and service activities
  • Support distributor to generate sales proposal & quotation for multinational customers.
  • Build up good and long-term relationship with focused accounts.
  • Prepare and conduct product presentations, product demonstrations and participate in marketing and promotional activities.
  • Take full responsible to customer suggestions for improvement to be made on current products and services, as well as ideas for new products, applications and services.
  • Participate to improve customer satisfaction and achieve competition mindset by finding out and communicating to managements the needs and requirements of customers and competitor activities.
  • Share products knowledge and gained experience with customers and other employees through knowledge sharing sessions, customer training sessions, etc.
  • Work as a team with other colleagues in other divisions and departments.
  • Participate and take on additional assignments and projects as required.
  • Work closely with regional managers to develop the business.
  • Compiling data and reports from distributors on customers progress, goals, and plans for business forecasts.
  • Research market demand and competition information.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering degree/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical engineering or related or Bachelor degree in Physic/Chemical from a recognized university.
  • 3 years and above work experience as sales engineer/representative/manager in capital equipment industry or related.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Creative, Enthusiastic, hands‑on self‑starter.
  • Ability to speak English is preferrable.
  • Hold a valid driving license with personal car.
  • Good Attendance and Self‑Motivation.
  • Good skill in Sales include negotiation and presentation skill.
  • Good customer relations with service mind.
