Position Overview
As a Key Account Manager, you will drive growth and deepen strategic partnerships across core consumer fragrance segments in Indonesia, contributing directly to Symrise Indonesia’s sales objectives while safeguarding client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Sales & Account Management: Lead and grow sales within the assigned portfolio, ensuring profitability and alignment with Symrise’s strategic objectives.
- Business Development: Develop and execute short‑to‑mid‑term plans tailored to key customers’ evolving needs in beauty care.
- Customer Relationship: Act as the primary interface for day‑to‑day operations and strategic discussions, maintaining a robust project pipeline from ideation through execution.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work with Sales, Marketing, Technical and Supply Chain to ensure flawless delivery and responsiveness.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyse market trends, category developments and competitor activity, feeding actionable insights into strategic planning.
- Financial Management: Deliver accurate sales forecasts, take ownership of account financial performance, and support pricing strategies and margin optimisation.
- Operational Excellence: Resolve customer issues and complaints, support pricing documentation, logistics coordination and supply chain alignment.
- Ethical Leadership: Uphold Symrise’s vision, values and ethical standards in all interactions.
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in the B2B fragrance industry, with direct responsibility for global or key local accounts.
- Strong expertise in fragrance evaluation, with deep understanding of olfactive profiling and consumer preferences in Personal Care or Home Care segments.
- Proven track record of business wins, strategic thinking, customer engagement and category knowledge within the beauty care industry.
- Skilled in defining and delivering customer‑centric fragrance strategies, leveraging solution‑based selling and precise execution in complex, fast‑paced environments.
- Creative and brand‑savvy thinker capable of crafting innovative fragrance solutions that elevate brand identity and deliver competitive presentations.
- Leadership in technical discussions, project management and mobilisation of cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality results efficiently.
- Adept at building strong relationships with customers, key stakeholders and internal teams, acting as a trusted partner and strategic advisor.
