Job summary

MatchaTalent is seeking a PKS Procurement & Trading Manager to lead procurement, sourcing and trading of Palm Kernel Shell and other biomass fuels from Jakarta, Indonesia. The role focuses on strategic supplier relationships, international trading activities, and ensuring smooth execution of procurement and supply chain operations in a dynamic regional environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in commodity trading or biomass fuel trading, strong knowledge of Incoterms and LC documents, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in commodity trading, procurement, or biomass fuel trading.
Hands-on experience with PKS, biomass fuels, wood pellets, or similar commodities.
Strong understanding of Incoterms, Letters of Credit, shipping logistics, and export-import documentation.
Experience managing suppliers and customers across Southeast Asia.
Good understanding of biomass fuel quality specifications, commercial standards, and customer requirements.
Strong negotiation, business development, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Professional working proficiency in English; Mandarin is an advantage but not mandatory.
Willing to travel for business when required.

Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities for PKS and other biomass fuel products.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers, processors, traders, and industrial customers.
Manage end-to-end procurement, sourcing, and trading activities to achieve business targets.
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and supply agreements with business partners.
Monitor biomass market trends, pricing movements, industry developments, and competitor activities.
Coordinate logistics, shipping, quality inspections, documentation, and payment processes to ensure successful transaction execution.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues throughout the procurement and supply chain process.
Analyze market opportunities and recommend strategies to support business growth.
Prepare commercial reports, forecasts, and market intelligence for management.
