Job summary

PT Lawencon Internasional seeks an IT Database Administrator (DBA) to design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available databases across on‑premises and cloud environments in Jakarta.

This role requires 24/7 shift rotation availability, strong SQL and data architecture skills, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure performance, security, and reliability.

Candidates with cloud DB experience (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and relevant certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Willing to work in a 24/7 shift rotation.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Database Engineer or related role.
• Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing scalable and highly available database systems.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, MSSQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB2) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Strong knowledge of in-memory databases, particularly Redis.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Strong SQL skills to analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize queries.
• Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure Database).
• Familiarity with database management tools (SSMS, HeidiSQL, Oracle SQL Developer, SQLyog, Redis Insight).
• Relevant database certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Willing to work in a 24/7 shift rotation

Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Database Engineer or in a related role.

Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing scalable and highly available (HA) database systems.

Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS), such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DB2, as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.

Strong knowledge of in-memory databases, particularly Redis.

Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.

Strong SQL skills, including the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize queries for performance and efficiency.

Good understanding of database design principles, including indexing, partitioning, and database normalization.

Experience with cloud database technologies and services, such as AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, and Azure Database.

Familiarity with database management tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), HeidiSQL, Oracle SQL Developer, SQLyog, and Redis Insight.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

Ability to learn independently and keep up with emerging technologies and industry developments.

Relevant database certifications, such as Oracle Certified Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Database Engineer, AWS Certified Database certifications, or other related certifications, are an advantage.
