Job summary

PT Gandum Mas Kencana in Tangerang, Indonesia seeks a seasoned Cyber Security Specialist to monitor, detect, and respond to security events across on-premises and cloud environments. You will analyze logs, implement IAM controls, and drive vulnerability remediation within a fast-moving food industry context.

Responsibilities include incident response, SOP/documentation creation, and collaboration with IT teams to strengthen overall security posture, with certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewall, NAT, VLAN, and Routing.
• Proficient in OS administration and security log management.
• Experience with incident response processes and security reporting workflows.
• Understanding of IAM concepts, MFA, PAM, and password policies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze logs from server, cloud, endpoint, and network to identify security events.
• Investigate phishing, malware, brute-force attempts, and suspicious access attempts.
• Lead or participate in incident response steps: Identification, Containment, Eradication, Recovery, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Develop SOPs, incident reports, and VA reports to support security operations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement IAM controls and strengthen security posture.

Job description

Strong understanding of network concepts and operations, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewall, NAT, VLAN, and Routing.

Proficient in operating system administration (Windows Server, Linux, VMware), including system hardening, patch management, backup, user access control, and log management.

Experience with security solutions such as SIEM, EDR, Enterprise Antivirus, Firewall, IDS/IPS, Email Security, and Vulnerability Scanners.

Good understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Least Privilege, Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Password Policies.

Knowledge of Vulnerability Management and Risk-Based Patch Management aligned with business priorities.

Ability to analyze logs (server, cloud, endpoint, and network) and investigate security alerts, including phishing, malware, brute-force attacks, and suspicious access attempts.

Strong understanding of the end-to-end Incident Response process, including Identification, Containment, Eradication, Recovery, and Root Cause Analysis.

Ability to develop security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), incident reports, Vulnerability Assessment (VA) reports, and technical documentation.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, high integrity, ability to work collaboratively in a team, and capability to handle security incidents effectively.

Nice to Have

Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Scripting and query skills for automation and analysis using PowerShell, Python, Bash, SQL, or Kusto Query Language (KQL).

Familiarity with security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF), CIS Controls, and ISO/IEC 27001.

Relevant certifications (one or more preferred):

Network / Operating Systems: CCNA, MTCNA, CompTIA Network+, MCSA, Linux certifications, or VMware certifications.

Security: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, SSCP, CEH, CISM, or CISSP.
