• Bachelor’s degree; relevant professional membership/qualification is an advantage but not required.
• Minimum 3 years of external and/or internal audit experience in professional services or internal audit in insurance.
• Strong understanding of internal audit practices and techniques.
• Knowledge of general insurance and reinsurance accounting, underwriting and claims processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to analyze issues and provide remediation recommendations.
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead and execute projects from design to implementation.
• Experience using data analytics to support the audit process.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in operational audit activities supporting risk-based audits and regulatory reviews across underwriting, claims, operations, finance and other functions.
• Own key components of end-to-end audits including planning, fieldwork oversight, testing, and reporting.
• Identify internal control deficiencies, assess risk, and advise management auditees on remediation.
• Build and maintain relationships with management auditees.
• Contribute to Internal Audit initiatives including process improvements and adoption of AI and new technologies.

Internal Audit Assistant Manager will support the Head of Internal Audit in planning, executing, and delivering internal audits, reviews, and projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of risks and controls, as well as excellent written and verbal English communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and the business.

Job Description

• Participate in operational audit activities supporting risk-based audits, advisory projects, regulatory reviews, and investigations across risk areas such as underwriting, claims, operations, finance, and other critical functions.
• Take ownership of key components of the end-to-end audit process for assigned audits/projects, including audit planning (leading walkthroughs, drafting audit programs and risk assessments), fieldwork (providing testing oversight and/or executing testing), and reporting (drafting audit reports/memos).
• Use problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify internal control deficiencies, assess risk implications, and draw appropriate conclusions to advise management auditees effectively.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with management auditees.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Internal Audit initiatives, including process improvements, efficiencies, and the application of AI and new technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; recently qualified or working toward a relevant professional membership/qualification (e.g., ACCA, Certified Internal Auditor) is an advantage but not required.
• Minimum 3 years of external and/or internal audit experience with a professional services firm, preferably in insurance, or internal audit experience with a general insurer.
• Strong understanding of internal audit practices and techniques.
• Knowledge of general insurance and reinsurance accounting, underwriting and claims processes, regulatory bodies, and general insurance products.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze issues and provide remediation recommendations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex processes and synthesize large volumes of information.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience using data analytics to support the audit process.
• Strong project management skills, with experience leading and executing projects from design through implementation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and experience with data analytics/visualization tools (e.g., ACL, R, QlikSense, Microsoft Power BI).
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
