Job summary

Rolls-Royce is offering an internship in Singapore for January to May/June 2027. You’ll support the engineering team by drafting basic electrical schematics using CAD tools and by helping maintain technical design documentation.

Polytechnic diploma students or university students in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Control Systems are invited to apply; familiarity with AutoCAD and/or EPLAN is preferred. The program provides hands-on projects and learning with a global leader.

Qualifications

• Polytechnic diploma or university student in Electrical, Mechatronics or Control Systems.
• Familiar with AutoCAD or EPLAN CAD tools.
• Willing to learn and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Draft basic electrical schematics using CAD under guidance from the engineering team.
• Update and revise existing electrical drawings as needed.
• Prepare and organize technical design documentation and manuals.
• Maintain version control and proper filing of design materials.

Role overview:

In this Internship, you'll support the engineering team by drafting and designing basic electrical schematics using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools. You'll also assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation related to design activities.

This role offers hands-on experience with electrical design workflows and documentation practices.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting in drafting basic electrical schematics using CAD software under guidance from the engineering team
• Supporting the design process by updating and revising existing electrical drawings as needed
• Helping prepare and organise technical documentation, including design reports and manuals
• Maintaining version control and proper filing of design and documentation materials
• Collaborating with engineers to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards

Who we're looking for:

• Polytechnic diploma students or university students studying Electrical, Mechatronics or Control Systems
• Software skills: AutoCAD and/or EPLAN
