Job description
  • Provide expert legal counsel to management and business units on corporate, commercial, insurance, and regulatory matters.
  • Monitor, analyze, and advise on legal and regulatory developments affecting the insurance industry.
  • Support strategic business decisions with clear, solutions-oriented legal recommendations.
Contract Management
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including reinsurance, distribution, service provider, vendor, and corporate contracts.
  • Ensure all contractual arrangements comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Regulatory Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to OJK and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve compliance frameworks, internal policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Guide internal stakeholders on regulatory obligations.
Regulatory Reporting & Government Relations
  • Prepare and submit legal and compliance reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Serve as the primary legal liaison with OJK and other relevant government authorities.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with regulators and industry associations.
Risk Management & Dispute Resolution
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks across business operations.
  • Support and/or manage dispute resolution, claims, and litigation processes when required.
  • Advise on risk mitigation strategies related to products, operations, and partnerships.
Corporate Governance
  • Support board and shareholder meetings, ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards and statutory obligations.
  • Maintain and manage all legal documentation, licenses, and company records.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Law is mandatory; a Master’s degree (Magister Hukum) is preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in a reputable law firm or insurance/financial services company.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian insurance law, corporate law, and OJK regulations.
