PT. Combine Will Industrial Indonesia is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to improve manufacturing performance on the shop floor.
The role focuses on challenging inefficient processes, mobilizing technicians, and driving improvements through to measurable results. You will analyze production flow, perform time studies and line balancing, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across Production, Engineering, Quality, and other functions.
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer who is hands-on, resourceful, and driven to improve manufacturing performance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on the shop floor, challenging inefficient processes, mobilizing technicians and related teams, and following improvements through until measurable results are achieved.
Key responsibilities
Analyze and improve manufacturing processes, production flow, line balancing, manpower utilization, and work methods to achieve higher productivity and efficiency
Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, line balancing, and productivity assessments to identify improvement opportunities
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, optimize manpower, and minimize production losses
Establish and improve standardized work methods, work instructions, and process standards in collaboration with Production and other related departments
Monitor production performance and identify root causes of productivity, efficiency, quality, and process issues
Lead and follow up on improvement projects from problem identification through implementation and measurable results
Drive and coordinate technicians and technical personnel to execute process improvements, equipment adjustments, tooling improvements, and other engineering solutions
Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, PPMC, and other functions to resolve manufacturing issues and improve overall factory performance
Prepare productivity and improvement reports, including analysis of results, action plans, and follow-up
Support new product introduction, production line setup, process development, and capacity planning when required
Create and revise mechanical drawings, layouts, equipment/component drawings, jigs, fixtures, and other technical drawings required for manufacturing and process improvements.
Translate process improvement requirements into practical mechanical designs and collaborate with technicians and Engineering teams for fabrication, modification, and implementation.
About you
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field with linear experience.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Continuous Improvement within a manufacturing environment
Experience in toy, plastic, plush, paper, die-cast, consumer goods, or other high-volume manufacturing is highly preferred
Strong understanding of line balancing, time study, capacity planning, productivity analysis, process improvement, and manpower optimization
Proven experience in implementing improvement initiatives and delivering measurable results, not only preparing analysis or recommendations
Able to create and interpret mechanical drawings, including drawings for jigs, fixtures, equipment modifications, layouts, and manufacturing components.
Proficient in mechanical drafting/CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent.
Able to lead, coordinate, and drive technicians and shop-floor personnel to execute improvement actions
Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach to resolving manufacturing issues
Self-driven, result-oriented, and improvement-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership
Resourceful and able to find practical solutions when facing limited resources, tight timelines, or unexpected production problems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
