Job summary

A manufacturing company located in Batam is seeking an Inspector to ensure compliance with material specifications during inspections of Tobacco and Non-Tobacco materials. Candidates should possess a minimum high school education and at least 2 years of experience in IQC, preferably in cigarette manufacturing. Familiarity with measuring equipment and the ability to work shifts are essential. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to quality compliance in a critical industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of IQC experience in manufacturing.
• Preferably from cigarette manufacturing.
• Experience in tobacco incoming inspection is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and 5S compliance at the working station.
• Perform incoming inspection of Tobacco and Non‑Tobacco material.
• Provide timely feedback on non-conformity findings.

Job description

What you'll be doing

• Ensure safety and 5S compliance at the working station.
• Adhere to SOP in assigned processes.
• Perform incoming inspection of Tobacco and Non‑Tobacco material and ensure compliance with material specifications.
• Perform "Twice a week Tobacco Inspection" and ensure compliance with material specifications.
• Timely feedback on non‑conformity findings during incoming inspections.
• Follow up on Non‑Conformance material findings during in‑process.
• Other work and tasks assigned by QC leader/supervisor.

What we're looking for

• Minimum High School education.
• At least 2 years IQC experience in manufacturing, preferably from cigarette manufacturing.
• Familiarity with measuring equipment (digimatic caliper, micrometer, analytical balance, moisture analyzer, pin gauge).
• Willing to work shifts.
• Basic computer skill (MS Excel).
• Preferable smoker.
• Preferable experience handling Non‑Conformance material in incoming and in‑process.
• Experience in tobacco incoming inspection and tobacco process inspection is an added advantage.
