Job description

Established in 2013, Odysee Education has grown into one of Indonesia’s leading education consultants, with a network of schools serving over 12,000 students nationwide.

We firmly believe in the saying, "The youth are the future of our nation," which is why we are committed to providing top‑tier education. To achieve this, we recruit only the most qualified educators and prioritize their well‑being, ensuring they have the support and resources needed to perform at their best. Through this dedication, we cultivate an environment where both students and teachers thrive.

We’re looking for an HRBP who will partner closely with leadership to align people strategies with business goals. This role will oversee strategic and operational HR functions, provide guidance to both local and expatriate staff, and play a key role in shaping a compliant, people‑centric, and high‑performing organizational culture.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee end‑to‑end HR operations for both expatriate and local employees, covering recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and exit processes.
  • Administer and coordinate all foreign employment documentation, including RPTKA, KITAS, IMTA, and ensure full compliance with Indonesian labor and immigration regulations.
  • Serve as the key liaison with government agencies and external partners to maintain proper compliance for all expatriate staffing matters.
  • Create, roll out, and manage an effective performance management framework aligned with the organization’s goals and priorities.
  • Develop, implement, and uphold HR policies and procedures that meet legal requirements and reflect international best practices.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention to support organizational growth and a positive work culture.
  • Advise senior leaders on HR‑related issues such as labor law adherence, contract arrangements, employee relations, and policy interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized HR records, employee data, contracts, compensation structures, and benefits administration.
  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performance workplace across all functional teams.
  • Ensure transparent communication channels within the organization and address workplace concerns in a timely, fair, and effective manner.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business, or a related discipline (a Master’s degree or HR certification is an advantage).
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within an international or multicultural work setting.
  • Prior experience in the education sector is strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of Indonesian labor laws and expatriate employment processes, including RPTKA, KITAS, IMTA, and associated reporting requirements.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with international employees and navigate cross‑cultural dynamics.
  • Strong proficiency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with excellent communication abilities.
  • A proactive, detail‑oriented, and solution‑focused professional with strong interpersonal and organizational capabilities.
