Job summary

Lutechresources is seeking a Hook Up & Commission Engineer to apply conceptual knowledge of Hook Up & Commissioning (Fab) with guidance from project leadership. The role focuses on solving straightforward problems and building knowledge of processes, equipment, and safety standards in the EPCI sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant field).
• 5 years of experience in hook-up and commissioning activities within the EPCI industry is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, IEC, NEC).
• Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Familiarity with offshore and onshore installations (e.g., communication systems, control systems, HVAC, power generation).
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Certified in relevant safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, HSE) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, checklists, and documentation to capture all relevant activities, observations, and outcomes throughout the hook-up and commissioning process
• Maintain accurate records of equipment and system inspections, testing results, and commissioning procedures
• Provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders, highlighting milestones, challenges, or deviations from plans
• Execute hook-up and commissioning activities on assigned projects, following schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Conduct detailed inspections and tests to verify the integrity and functionality of installed systems and equipment
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hook-up and commissioning activities in a timely manner
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during planning and execution phases
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, regulations, and contractual requirements
• Participate in project review meetings to provide insights and feedback for process improvement
• Oversee and manage all hook-up and commissioning activities by project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure timely completion of all hook-up and commissioning activities
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of hook-up and commissioning activities

Education

The Hook Up & Commission Engineer applies their conceptual knowledge of Hook Up & Commissioning (Fab) and, with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward Hook Up & Commissioning (Fab) problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Hook Up & Commission Engineer understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
