A leading multinational chemical company in Indonesia is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Supervisor. The successful candidate will enforce safety guidelines, conduct regular inspections, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. Ideal candidates will have a Diploma or Bachelor in Health & Safety and at least 5 years of experience in similar roles. Job description

Graduated from Diploma or Bachelor degree majoring in Health & Safety

At least 5 years experience in organizing, supervising, and executing of Health & safety Plant Operations.

Deep understanding in health and safety regulations and its implementations, having ability to identify hazards and discover opportunities for improving safety conditions.

Able to operate computer and communicate in English.

Excellent interpersonal skill, good superisory and leadership skill and capable to distribute workloads in order to meet health and safety standard.

Having strong and good problem-solving skills for addressing safety concerns and implementing effective solutions.

Having general work and process safety training for supervisor.

Have collaborative and communication skills as essential for conveying safety guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce.

Job Descriptions:
Conducts Health & Safety Inspections

Regularly inspects the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. This includes examining equipment, processes, and work areas to spot unsafe practices or conditions.

Enforce Safe Work Practices

Ensures that all employees adhere to safety guidelines and procedures. This includes correcting unsafe conditions and encouraging workers to report hazards immediately to Superior and or HS department without fear of reprisal.

Compliance Monitoring

Supports HSE Manager tostay updated on safety regulations and ensure that the workplace complies with all relevant health and safety laws. This includes making necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

Implement, and support HSE related activities.

Organizes, maintains, directs, supervises and controls program/plan with objective to improve implementation of safety for reaching Zero Accident and safety awareness of employee's Improvement, Maintain weekly or monthly basis follow up action from HSE audits, Safety walks or another audit related with Health and Safety in Gabus.

Maintains & Records for Safety Comittee

Maintains, monitors and records periodicly which are weekly safety cross, safety observation report, incident/accident report, monthly emergency equipment inspection supported by Safety deputies, and health report from company doctor for Safety Comittee and also to external (government).

Coordinates, maintains, supervises and ensures that the implementation of the OHS risk management system is implementing effectively through hazard identification, risk assessment (HIRARC, CHRA, PHA, HRA, etc), and implementation of control measures throughout the work area. This position plays an important role in compiling and updating the risk register, leading the implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with other departments and contractors.

Work and Process Safety

Actively checks and participates in the various PSM program elements, support HSE Manager to identify hazard related to work and process safety, also collaboration with Engineering department to check PSM (Process Safety Management) element.Involves in HAZOP Process safety discussion and JSA (Job Safety Analysis), proactively maintains and reviews work & process safety related to Gabus Plant Operation to identify potential risks. Proposes to take prompt necessary corrective actions when unsafe work and process safety conditions or practices are observed and or reported in HSE Manager.

Safety Walks

Schedules, Maintains, Records, and Follow ups action list of regular safety walk activities for all departments. Compiles the deviations, records and reports the minutes to be followed up by respective department, set reminder.

In the event of an accident or incident including near‑miss, supports HSE Manager the reporting process, investigate accidents & incidents, document findings, corrective actions and suggests effective preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

Health Safety Training and Education

Organizes, maintains and provides HS training and education for all levels of the organization to educate employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This is essential for maintaining a knowledgeable and safety‑conscious workforce.

Assists Personnel and GA departement for health and hygiene monitoring also medical check up of employees, Canteen hygiene aspects, and health promotion program implementation with company doctor on site. Maintains and Supervises Health Surveillance Procedure.

Health and Safety Culture

Supervises safety culture based on a risk‑based approach, and provide coaching to workers to improve behavior related to occupational health and safety.

PPE Control

Identifies, Inspects, monitors, and controls required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to support département needs based on risk assessment and Safety Data Sheet. Review PPE quality and maintains PPE replenishment orders to guarantee sufficient stock to keep HSE compliance.

Organizes, Schedules, maintains, monitors ERP procedures, the availability and condition of safety equipment (APAR, alarm, first aid kit, evacuation routes) with safety officer and safety deputy, and coordinates regular emergency response drills twice a year (day and night) with related HSE Scheme.

Acts as Emergency Response Team (ERT) commander and drives the ERT team to react and response immediately if any accident, incident, or fire occurs on site. Reports immediately to HSE Manager and respective department head to get advice when the accident and incident can’t be handled immediately refer to the emergency guidelines.

OHS Management System

Supports implementation (Procedure, Implementation & Review) of Integrated Management System with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Occupational Health and Safety Management System Indonesia regulation PP 50/2012.

Safety & cleanliness

Checks, controls, records and reports all house keeping, work and process safety including hygiene duties in Gabus area.
