Job Description: Job Description Responsible for leading and overseeing the underwriting department for medical and life insurance products. This role involves developing and implementing underwriting policies, managing risk assessment processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Underwriting Lead also collaborates with other departments to optimize product offerings and pricing strategies while maintaining profitability and managing the overall risk portfolio of the insurance company.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in medical and life insurance underwriting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of medical conditions, mortality risks, and their impact on insurance underwriting.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and developing underwriting teams.
• In-depth knowledge of insurance regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
• Professional designations such as FALU (Fellow of the Academy of Life Underwriting) or FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute) would be plus points.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful underwriting strategies and policies.
