About the role

As the Head of Maintenance Planner at JL Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our heavy equipment facilities. Based in Dili, Timor Leste, this full-time position will see you overseeing the planning, scheduling and coordination of all maintenance activities across our company.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance plans to optimise equipment performance and minimise downtime
• Coordinate the scheduling of preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance tasks
• Monitor and analyse maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Lead a team of maintenance planners and technicians, providing guidance, training and performance management
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
• Contribute to the continuous development of our maintenance strategies and procedures

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in a maintenance planning or management role, ideally within heavy equipment industries and mechanic background
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective maintenance programmes that maximise asset reliability and availability
• Strong planning, scheduling and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex, cross‑functional activities
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a data‑driven approach to decision making
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities
• Experience leading and developing high‑performing maintenance teams
• Relevant qualifications in engineering, maintenance management or a related field
