Job summary

PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk is seeking a Head of Legal in Subang, Indonesia, to lead all corporate legal affairs, including strategic transactions such as IPOs, M&A, and land-related matters. The role requires expertise in corporate and land law and strong leadership.

You will oversee contract negotiations, provide risk assessments to management, and coordinate with notaries, consultants, and government authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master’s Degree is a plus).
• Minimum 10–15 years of legal experience, with strong exposure to corporate, commercial, and land matters.
• Proven experience in the property/developer industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of land acquisition processes, licensing, and land regulations in Indonesia.
• Excellent legal analytical skills with strong business acumen.
• Experienced in contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and execute end-to-end corporate actions, including IPO, rights issues, private placements, bonds/sukuk issuance, M&A, restructuring, and other strategic transactions.
• Provide strategic legal advice to management on business operations and company development.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (contracts, partnerships, vendors, etc.).
• Manage legal aspects related to land acquisition, licensing, certification, and land disputes.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks, handle disputes/litigation when necessary, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Act as the company’s legal representative in dealings with external parties and authorities.
• Collaborate and liaise with relevant stakeholders, including notaries, legal consultants, and government institutions.
