Head of E-Commerce Operations & Reporting

The Head of E-Commerce Operations & Reporting is the overall owner of the domestic online e-commerce platform for precious metals (gold) sales, responsible for end-to-end operational excellence, commercial performance, governance, and reporting of the platform.

This role ensures the profitability, reliability, compliance, and scalability of the gold online retail business by integrating technology, marketing execution, financial control, vendor management, customer experience, and regulatory compliance, while providing accurate and timely performance reporting to executive management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as platform owner for day‑to‑day and strategic operations of the gold online retail platform.
  • Ensure platform availability, stability, transaction integrity, cybersecurity awareness, and data accuracy.
  • Oversee order management lifecycle: order placement, payment, settlement, inventory coordination, delivery, and after‑sales support.
  • Continuously improve customer journey, conversion rate, fulfillment cycle time, and service quality.
  • Own and manage full P&L responsibility for the e‑commerce business (revenue, cost, margin, and profitability).
  • Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, GMV, margin, conversion rate, customer acquisition cost, repeat purchase, platform uptime, transaction success rate, fulfillment lead time, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for VP Marketing/Sales and Executive Management.
  • Identify growth opportunities through pricing, promotion, product mix, and channel optimization.
  • Coordinate closely with Marketing, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Operations/Supply Chain.
  • Manage and evaluate e‑commerce vendors and partners, negotiate contracts, SLAs, commercial terms, and monitor vendor performance.
  • Establish robust data governance and reporting frameworks for e‑commerce operations and deliver accurate dashboards and management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with precious metals trading regulations, data privacy & cybersecurity regulations, and internal company policies.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as Head of E‑commerce or similar role, with a track record of driving online retail performance and profitability.
  • Strong understanding of e‑commerce platforms, order management, payment gateways, logistics, and fulfillment.
  • Experience managing full P&L and operating budgets.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional language fluency is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in precious metals trading and data privacy is desirable.
