A prominent tech company in Jakarta Utara is seeking a Head of Data to develop and execute the Data Center vision and strategy. The role requires a minimum of 7–10 years of experience in Data Center Management, strong leadership skills, and in-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure. The Head of Data will ensure high availability of services and oversee budgeting and operational risks. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Job description

Develop and execute the Data Center vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with overall business objectives.

Lead 24/7 Data Center operations to ensure high availability, service reliability, and operational excellence.

Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, including capacity optimization, automation, and energy efficiency improvements.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (Uptime Tier Certifications, ISO 27001, ISO 20000, etc.).

Oversee Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) implementation and readiness.

Manage operational risks, including physical security, cybersecurity, and incident mitigation.

Lead, develop, and manage the performance of Data Center teams to maintain best‑in‑class operational capabilities.

Oversee budgeting, cost optimization, and technology/service procurement processes.

Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, business leaders, and strategic vendors to support business growth and infrastructure needs.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in Data Center Management or IT Infrastructure, with strong exposure to strategic planning and team leadership.

In-depth knowledge of server, storage, virtualization, networking technologies, power & cooling systems, and physical security controls.

Strong understanding of global Data Center standards and information security best practices.

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic decision‑making abilities.

Strong leadership, executive communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
