They are seeking highly technical DevOps leaders with proven experience in implementing and maintaining infra migration to Google Cloud Platform.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define the company-wide DevOps roadmap, infrastructure strategy, and cloud adoption policies centered on GCP services.
• GCP Ecosystem Management: Architect and manage core GCP services, including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Compute Engine.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Oversee the implementation of landing zone architectures using Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager to ensure repeatable and scalable environments.
• CI/CD Governance: Establish secure, automated delivery pipelines using Google Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins to facilitate rapid software releases.
• Security & Compliance (DevSecOps): Administer Google IAM, Service Accounts, and VPC Service Controls; manage secrets and ensure SOC2 or other industry compliance standards.
• Cloud Cost Optimization: Lead initiatives to monitor and reduce cloud spending using GCP Billing & Cost Management tools and Committed Use Discounts.
• Observability & Reliability: Implement monitoring and logging solutions via Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver) or third-party tools like Datadog and Dynatrace.
• Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead teams of DevOps, Platform, and SRE engineers to foster a high-performance culture.

The Successful Applicant

Typical Requirements

• Experience: Usually 8-12+ years in DevOps or infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in GCP architecture, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and automation frameworks (Ansible/Terraform).
• Certifications: Often preferred to hold a GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification.
• Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder communication, vendor management, and the ability to align technical initiatives with business outcomes.
