Head of Business Development - Freight Forwarding and Logistic
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:
- Develop and implement effective commercial strategies to achieve sales targets and profitability
- Lead and manage the business development team and Business Development functions
- Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners
- Oversee contract negotiation, and bidding processes for potential customers
- Work closely with operations and finance teams to ensure service quality and cost-efficiency
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to support strategic planning
- Monitor and manage sales pipelines, forecasts, and reporting through CRM systems
- Provide regular performance reports and business updates to senior management
- Drive team development through training, coaching, and performance management
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics industry
- At least 5 years in a leadership/managerial position handling commercial or sales functions
- Proven track record of revenue generation and business growth
- Deep understanding of international freight (Air, Sea, Land) and logistics solutions
- Strong background in customer relationship management and key account handling
