Job description

The candidate required to work at Jakarta, Indonesia.

Client Overview

Our client is a fast-growing Indonesian manufacturing and commercial group operating across electrical equipment, consumer lighting, electronic appliances, and industrial technology.

The group has evolved from an electronic trading and distribution business into a multi-site manufacturing organization serving the growing domestic market. With multiple operating entities and manufacturing facilities across Indonesia, the organization manages a significant workforce and works closely with local and international stakeholders across its supply chain.

As the business continues to expand its manufacturing footprint, the group is strengthening its financial governance, accounting systems, reporting standards, and internal controls to support increasingly complex multi-entity operations.

Job Role

The Head of Accounting will lead the group's accounting function across multiple operating entities, manufacturing sites, and business units. The role is responsible for strengthening accounting standards, financial consolidation, tax compliance, cost accounting, financial controls, and management reporting.

Reporting directly to the Founder/Group Owner, this position will play a key role in professionalizing the group's accounting infrastructure and ensuring that management receives accurate, timely, and transparent financial information for business decision-making.

The ideal candidate is an all-rounder accounting leader with strong hands‑on expertise in multi‑entity accounting, tax, consolidation, cost accounting, inventory, and internal controls, combined with the ability to build systems and enforce financial discipline within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, standardize, and implement group-wide Accounting SOPs, chart of accounts, accounting policies, and financial reporting standards.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation across subsidiaries and operating entities.
  • Prepare and review consolidated Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, and supporting financial reports.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of accounting practices across corporate, trading, warehouse, and manufacturing operations.
  • Strengthen internal financial controls, approval processes, segregation of duties, documentation, and audit trails across group entities.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate financial controls to minimize accounting risks and improve governance.
  • Oversee cost accounting, COGS analysis, inventory valuation, and stock reconciliation across warehouses and manufacturing sites.
  • Monitor inventory accounting and coordinate stock‑taking and reconciliation processes with operational teams.
  • Oversee corporate tax compliance across group entities, including PPN, PPh 21, PPh 23, PPh 25, PPh 4(2), PPh 29, e‑Faktur, and relevant tax reporting requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of periodic and annual tax returns and related tax documentation.
  • Coordinate tax audits, government inquiries, tax assessments, and other tax‑related matters.
  • Develop practical tax management and planning approaches while maintaining compliance with applicable Indonesian tax regulations.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, bank reconciliations, working capital, and cash flow positions.
  • Develop cash flow forecasts and provide insights to support liquidity and working capital management.
  • Prepare financial analysis, budget‑versus‑actual reports, margin analysis, and other management reports for the Founder and senior management.
  • Identify financial discrepancies, operational inefficiencies, and control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead and develop accounting, tax, cost control, and finance personnel across corporate and operational units.
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment for imports, purchasing, inventory, and related transactions.
  • Support external audits and ensure financial records and documentation are prepared to an appropriate audit‑ready standard.
  • Continuously improve accounting systems, ERP processes, reporting structures, and financial controls as the group expands.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Accounting, Finance, Fiscal Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting certification such as CPA, CA, or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Minimum 7–10+ years of hands‑on accounting and tax experience, with at least 3–5 years in an Accounting Manager, Senior Accounting Manager, or Head of Accounting capacity.
  • Experience in Consumer Electronics, Electrical Products, FMCG, Trading & Distribution, Retail, or Manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates without direct manufacturing experience may be considered if they have strong multi‑entity accounting and commercial trading/distribution experience.
  • Proven experience managing accounting operations across multiple legal entities or business units.
  • Experience within a large‑scale operational environment, preferably involving approximately 1,000+ employees, is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience working within family‑owned local Chinese companies, privately held groups, or Chinese‑invested companies in Indonesia is strongly preferred.
  • Strong all‑rounder expertise covering Accounting Operations, Financial Consolidation, Tax Compliance, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Internal Controls.
  • Proven ability to build, establish, or strengthen accounting systems and financial processes within a growing organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian accounting and corporate tax regulations.
