Job summary

Holland America Line is seeking a photographer to join our onboard Photography Team in Indonesia. You will help capture guests’ memories at sea and at port destinations, reporting to the Photo Video Manager. The role is fixed-term and onsite in Indonesia.

You’ll use pro-grade cameras, studio lighting, and lab equipment to deliver high-quality images while meeting set photo and sales targets for each voyage.

Qualifications

• Formal photography education and training preferred.
• Two years of event photography experience, including portraits in large settings.
• Prior sales experience.
• Demonstrated experience using professional-grade digital cameras.
• Experience with studio lighting and digital lab equipment preferred.
• Secure Windows and Mac-based computer skills; proficient in Photoshop/Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive first impression with a warm greeting and professional appearance.
• Produce images that are well exposed, in focus, and print-ready, meeting standards.
• Maintain and operate equipment; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Handle inventories, receiving, transfers, deletions, price changes, stock rotations, and bar-coding prints as directed.
• Achieve budgeted sales, image count, and sell-through targets for each voyage.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will:

• Ensure that equipment is always used and maintained correctly and that any malfunctions or breakdowns are quickly resolved.
• Perform departmental tasks such as inventories, receiving, transfers, deletions, price changes, stock rotations, and bar-coding prints, as directed.
• Achieve budgeted sales, image count, and sell-through targets for each voyage.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Formal photography education and training preferred
• Two years of event photography experience, including experience shooting portraits in large event settings
• Prior sales experience.
• Demonstrated experience using professional-grade digital cameras
• Experience with studio lighting and digital lab equipment preferred.
• Secure Windows and Mac-based computer skills, Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar types of programs.
• Photo Equipment: NikonD7200, Nikon Flash Systems, Hansel Studio Flash Systems, and related accessories, Konica R1& R2, Fuji Frontier, Noritsu.
