Job summary

ByteDance seeks an experienced Global Payments Technology Audit Leader to join the Global Technology Audit team. The role will support TikTok and ByteDance businesses outside China, developing audit strategies for payment compliance, lending, and other regulated products across APAC/EMEA.

The candidate will lead audits of payment systems, digital wallets, and financial infrastructure, collaborating with engineers and product teams to improve control environments and ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Extensive years of progressive compliance or technology auditing experience within payments, fintech, or regulatory contexts.
• Strong understanding of payment regulations and payment system controls.
• Experience building audit plans for global/regionally distributed entities (APAC/EMEA).
• Experience working with regulators on payment or money transmitter regulations.
• Analytical ability to assess complex tech environments against risk and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technology audit strategies for payments, lending, and regulated financial products across TikTok and ByteDance entities.
• Lead complex, risk-based technology audits from planning through reporting with clear issue remediation.
• Collaborate with regulators and supervisory authorities, maintaining constructive relationships across APAC/EMEA/LATAM.
• Assess payment technology architecture, end-to-end payment processing, security, and data protection controls.
• Provide risk-based recommendations aligned with business needs and regulatory expectations.
• Champion quality assurance to maintain audit standards and drive process improvements.
