Job description

Our client is a well established hospitality group. The group currently manages several hotels and golf courses in Indonesia and continues to expand.

Our client is seeking to appoint a General Manager to take charge of 1 of their golf courses. (18‑hole)

Both Expats and Indonesian Nationals are being considered.

Responsibilities (included but not limited to)

• Oversee daily operations of the golf course, clubhouse, and facilities
• Ensure high‑quality service and guest satisfaction
• Manage the annual budget and control costs
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth
• Develop marketing strategies to attract and retain members
• Plan and organize events and tournaments
• Work closely with the superintendent to maintain the golf course
• Ensure safety compliance and conduct risk assessments
• Contribute to long‑term strategic planning
• Collaborate with the Board to align operations with club goals

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field
• Candidate should currently be in similar capacity
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience, preferably in the golf industry
• General knowledge of Hospitality business culture, management structure, familiarity with major Golf brands
• Thorough knowledge of Golf's operating policies & standards
• Project management skills
• Strong network for business intelligence
• The position requires someone who thinks “like an entrepreneur”
• Strong financial skills with experience in budgeting and financial reporting
• Attention to details and guest satisfaction enhancements
• Strong influencing skills; persuasive, able to win support and engagement of others
