Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and domain-savvy Lead Business Analyst to join our team and support the development, enhancement, and optimization of insurance products and processes within the Commercial Lines of Property & Casualty Insurance. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Engineering, Marine, Property, and Liability insurance and will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, actuarial and operations teams to gather and document business requirements.
 
- Conduct gap analysis and feasibility studies for new product development or enhancements.
 
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
 
Domain Expertise - Commercial Lines
- Analyze and model insurance products across Engineering (Contractors All Risk, Erection All Risk), Marine (Cargo, Hull), Property (Fire, Burglary), and Liability (Public, Product, Professional).
 
- Support pricing, rating, and policy administration systems specific to commercial lines.
 
- Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with industry standards (IRDAI, Lloyd's, etc.).
 
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with product managers, IT teams, vendors, and external consultants.
 
- Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and UAT sessions with business users.
 
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for commercial lines during system implementations.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio).
 
- Familiarity with insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, DXC, etc.) is a plus.
 
Domain Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products and lifecycle.
 
- Experience in regulatory and compliance frameworks in P&C insurance.
 
- Knowledge of reinsurance and treaty structures is advantageous.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
 
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
 
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
 
Qualifications
Any Degree with III certification or ECBA
