Job summary

LMN Studio is seeking an FX Artist to create high-quality visual effects for diverse projects. You will develop production-ready simulations and collaborate closely with FX leads and cross-functional teams to integrate effects seamlessly into the production pipeline.

The role requires solid knowledge of FX principles, proficiency in Houdini, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize simulations under tight deadlines. Experience with Maya is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience creating visual effects for FX, animation, or film productions; portfolio encouraged.
• Solid understanding of FX principles, including particles, fluids, smoke, fire, destruction, cloth, and other dynamic simulations.
• Proficiency in Houdini; experience with Maya or other industry-standard 3D software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality visual effects including particles, fluids, smoke, fire, destruction, dust, atmospheric effects, cloth, and other dynamic simulations.
• Develop production-ready FX simulations meeting artistic, technical, and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with FX Lead/Supervisor and cross-functional teams to develop creative and efficient FX solutions.
• Work with Animation, Lighting, Look Development, Compositing to ensure smooth integration of effects.
• Optimize simulations and troubleshoot technical challenges while meeting production deadlines.
• Interpret and implement creative feedback to achieve the desired visuals.
