Job summary

FIT HUB, a technology-driven health and wellness startup based in Jakarta, seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer to build reliable, scalable web applications. You will work with product, design, and backend teams to shape frontend architecture and improve performance.

You will contribute to code quality, implement best practices, and continuously learn evolving frontend technologies including AI-assisted tools to deliver high-quality user experiences.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of frontend or web application development experience.
• Proven React.js experience with functional components, Hooks, Context API, and Redux or similar state management.
• Strong command of modern ES6+ JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of CSS3, Flexbox, Grid, responsive design, animations; experience with Tailwind CSS or styled-components is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend tooling and frameworks (Next.js, Webpack, Babel, Vite).
• Strong ability to integrate RESTful APIs and optimize performance including code splitting and lazy loading.
• Familiar with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins) and a mindset for continuous learning and responsible AI adoption.

Responsibilities

You will play a key role in building reliable, scalable, and user-centric web applications. Working closely with product, design, and backend teams, you will help shape our frontend architecture, improve application performance, and raise engineering standards across the team.

What You Will Do

• Develop and Maintain Frontend Applications: Build and maintain complex, scalable web applications using React, with a focus on reliable and high-quality user experiences.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Improve Code Quality: Maintain high coding standards through thorough code reviews, automated tests, documentation, and engineering best practices.
• Drive Performance Optimization: Improve application performance through techniques such as lazy loading, code splitting, efficient rendering, and effective state management.
• Explore and Adopt Relevant Technology: Continuously evaluate relevant frontend technologies and development tools—including AI-assisted tools—and adopt them responsibly when they improve product quality, team productivity, or engineering practices.

What We Need

• Experience: At least 4 years of experience in frontend or web application development.
• React Expertise: Proven experience with React.js, including functional components, Hooks, Context API, and state-management approaches such as Redux or similar libraries.
• JavaScript and TypeScript: Strong command of modern ES6+ JavaScript and TypeScript.
• CSS Mastery: Deep knowledge of CSS3, Flexbox, Grid, responsive design, animations, and preprocessors such as Sass or Less. Experience with Tailwind CSS, styled-components, Emotion, or similar styling solutions is a plus.
• Frontend Tooling: Hands-on experience with modern frontend tooling and frameworks, such as Next.js, Webpack, Babel, Vite, or similar.
• API Integration: Strong ability to integrate and work with RESTful APIs. Performance Optimization: Experience implementing code splitting, lazy loading, rendering optimizations, and improving Lighthouse scores.
• CI/CD Familiarity: Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, or similar.
• Continuous Learning and Responsible AI Adoption: Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn evolving frontend practices and adopt relevant technologies—including AI-assisted development tools—while maintaining code quality, security, reliability, and ownership of the final output.
