About the Role

Responsible for supporting the financial risk management lead in overseeing product governance, reinsurance governance, and financial risk reporting.

PRODUCT GOVERNANCE
  • Risk oversight for new/revamp product including campaigns to ensure alignment with Group Product Standard for Individual Product, Credit Life Business and Corporate Solution
  • Engage with 1st line (Product team, Actuarial Pricing) to understand the key risks (financial and operational) associated with the product features and benefits.
  • Facilitate the discussion with other related teams that are impacted for Product Development, e.g., Channel, Operations, IT, Legal & Compliance.
  • Prepare independent risk assessment paper for AAMP system and ensure the internal approvals are obtained before product launch.
  • Engage with Group Risk where necessary on Product-related matters
  • Prepare proposals with the Head of ERM to liaise with Group on legal entity and product AAMP
  • Maintain ERM portal and AIAF ERM section of the Group risk portal
REINSURANCE GOVERNANCE
  • Risk oversight for new RI arrangement to ensure alignment with the requirement set out in the Group Standard (RI Standard, RI Pricing Standard, RI Documentation Standard)
  • Liaise with local RI team to understand key risks associated with the RI arrangement (both financial and operational)
  • Engage with Group Risk where necessary on RI-related matters.
REGULAR REPORTING (FINANCIAL RISK RELATED)
  • Quarterly Financial Risk Reporting to Group FRC – Oversight on the key financial risks, analytical support and understanding of the movement including the impact to the AIAF’s business on the following aspects:
    • Interest Rate Risk (duration gap and DV100)
    • Liquidity Risk
    • FX Risk
    • Capital Stress Test
    • Investment-related risk (Credit Risk, Equity Risk)
  • Quarterly ERC reporting (Financial Risk part) - Deck Preparation for ERC meeting – leverage from quarterly FRC report
  • Monthly ROC meeting deck (Supporting file for Financial Risk Monitoring):
    • RBC movement analysis
    • Asset Yield Movement
  • ORSA Reporting to Group Risk
  • Regulatory Reporting (Laporan TKS):
    • Prepare the report, update the excel working, APOLO submission for the Conventional & Sharia business.
    • Liaise with other ERM team member for DPLK.
INSURANCE RISK
  • Collect and analyse incident data in the area of insurance risk for process improvement
MANAGEMENT OF KEY RISKS
  • To support FinRisk Lead in developing risk policies and procedures in the above areas that are consistent with risk appetite and the Group’s policies
