We are seeking an experienced Malaysian Financial Controller to provide independent oversight of our finance operations in Semarang, Indonesia. This role focuses on financial control, payment validation, procurement discipline, and safeguarding company interests, rather than routine accounting work. You will supervise the local finance team and ensure strong compliance with group policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of the Semarang finance team and enforce strong internal controls.
• Verify all supplier payments, including documentation, pricing, and procurement discipline.
• Monitor inventory, stock counts, material usage, and production cost accuracy.
• Oversee cash flow, bank reconciliations, and strict payment approval processes.
• Review monthly financial reports and highlight irregularities or variances to Group/HQ.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and anti-fraud standards; lead investigations when needed.
• Train, mentor, and enforce performance and integrity within the finance team.
• Mentor and develop the local finance team.
• Enforce discipline, integrity, and professionalism within the department.

Qualifications

• Malaysian citizen (preferably, a Johorean resident).
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial control, audit, or senior finance roles.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, MIA, etc.).
• Strong command of Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia and Chinese; English is an advantage.
• High integrity, firm decision‑making, strong analytical ability.
• Able to operate independently and enforce financial discipline.
